About the rescue

Loki’s Legacy are a breed specific rescue who specialise in Golden Retrievers that are not able to be rehomed via the breed clubs, usually as a result of behavioural issues, bite history, or required home type.

We have been established since 2021 – originally as Loki’s Rescue (which was a general rescue) but our work soon took us down the line of focussing only on the goldies.

We do not have any blanket rules around the homes we select, but due to the nature of our dogs, it’s very rare that we are able to place a dog into homes with young children.
